Artist - James Little

James Little

James Little, b. 1947, draws from his Native Navajo language and culture for all of his pieces. Elements of culture make it into every piece of jewelery or painting. He learned to make jewelry from Kenneth Begay, one of the most famed Navajo silversmiths of his day.

James grew up with a severe hearing disability. He was born with only one ear and had compromised hearing in the other. Through this he still spoke two languages, English and Navajo.

His jewelry is startlingly modern and extremely well crafted.
